First Friday!

Our most legit sale, and yet we took no photos it's a good thing we didn't make any new flavors or else no one would believe us! after our failed sale at Buffalo we decided to kick it back with the basics and by basics we mean Sweet Corn, Green Tea and Black Bean and Banana Pies. All of which were received very well and I came home with only 4 pies!

Suggestions were to hold off on the sugar in the green tea, make a wheat free crust and more vegan pies (i.e not make everything a cheese cake) Some people turned their heads at a 4 dolla pie, which I understand but jeeze I spent 2 days in the kitchen and man do you see how cute it i?!

coco crazy!

Sorry I wasn't able to post any sooner, Strange Pies have been working over time! Last Week we sold pies at Buffalo Exchange for their kick off summer sale.

Here's a sneak peak into our kitchen and our 4-armed pie madness
working together as we zest lemons for PINA COLADA PIE

The Pies were superb, just ask Chelsea and Wesley who certainly fell in love over it.

About the pie:
I think the only way to describe this pie is a "pineapple custard having a coconut wet dream"
Probably a 10 on the sweetness scale, and a 3 on the popularity scale. This creamy pie was served on two crusts because we couldn't decide what was better (graham cracker vs. traditional pie crust) made and flavored with every coconut and pineapple product I could get my hands on!! However, I think all the coconut lovers are in Oakland because hardly anyone shopping at Buffalo (except for the fine couple pictured above) wanted in on it! So I think we're gonna hold off on introducing Pina Colada again or available on request only and in small batches.
